F Week

Fish, Flowers, and Frogs Oh My!!!

This week there was a LOT of paint involved! I am so much less anxious about the paint now. We did some of the crafts with LT as well!

F is for Frog! He painted the paper plate half and glued on the eyes and tongue.

F is for Flowers! LT is the top one and QC had the bottom one! He loved dipping his feet in the paint!

Again LT is on the top and QC is on the bottom. He colored these plates with a blue crayon then we did the hand prints as fish! Did learn that LT is not good with the hand prints. He was way to interested in mushing the paint in his hand than opening it to put on the paper.

Then we painted our faces. QC wanted to be cats LOL. So cat's we were. He had lots of fun!
Another fish! With the paint that was already out for the flowers and a little more for multiple colors I let QC have at it on a paper plate! Then we painted some fins and a mouth to make the project complete!

Yup some are sideways but hey I was sitting at an angle here!
We made some molasses cookies! I measured everything out in separate bowls then read the directions step by step while QC dumped and stirred. I did mix it the rest of the way at the end before chilling. Unfortunately I forgot to take a pic of the finished product :( They all went to work with Daddy so I wouldn't eat them!!

St. Patrick's Week!

I love St. Patrick's Day and love the excuse to make it a whole week ordeal!

So we had Fruit Rainbows! So good for you and yummy!
We have Strawberries, Kiwi, Oranges, and blueberries with clouds made of Banana's and Plain Greek Yogurt!

QC loved his breakfast, especially the yogurt!

We made 4 leaf clover's with feet! I helped QC with printing his feet, then let him paint LT's feet to make one for him as well!

We took paper squares and made a rainbow. He loves to do this project no matter what it is we are making.
Wednesday we had free play. Pulled out the sensory box and play dough and had at it. Sadly I wasn't thinking and didn't take any pictures!

Next the we did a rainbow out of Fruit Loops, we glued them on and I admit he tasted some glue when he wanted to eat them. We just gave him his own bowl to snack on while making this.

Friday we made a rainbow out of hand prints!

Then we worked together to make a green pudding pie. The recipe I had was for a mint one but since Dad doesn't like mint we just made it a green vanilla one! QC loved getting to help mix and pour!

Saturday morning we had Rainbow pancakes! I must love my guys because I make them pancakes all the time and I can't stand them!

Sunday! Of course my boys were decked out in Green!!

E Week

What a week! E wasn't easy for us and I hit a need to spring clean everything. Making way for room for new projects.
E was not the easiest and QC really just wanted to color and paint this week. So that is what he did for the most part!!

Painting. Oh how the mess has always given me anxiety. I hate the MESS!.
But quick thinking saved me here. I took a paper bag, cut it open, taped it to the table making sure to wrap it around the edge. Then gave QC some paint on a palate that I also Taped to the bag. He painted with a brush, mixed his colors, finger painted (thank heavens for washable paint!). He asked me to paint so he told me words that begin with E and I wrote them (had to get the lesson in there somewhere!). Then I untaped the paper from the table and taped it to my back door for drying out of reach.

Like I said coloring was a big thing this week. He occupied his time coloring while I did my spring cleaning! Constantly asking for more more more.

The Play dough. I bought this "Tub O Fun" on clearance a while back and we are finally really starting to use it. QC has no issues touching it either which is a big improvement!

Pushing it through the press was a big hit.

Yup he tasted it and did NOT like it!

Mommy had to play so I made him an E- Elephant.
Squeezing it was even more fun!

And our one and only real project this week. A mixture of painting, coloring, and gluing!

I hear E Elbow a lot now and that is awesome. He is starting to hear words and associate the letters they start with and that is a big success for such a little guy!

Next: St. Patrick's Week!!!

D Week

What a long week! QC started the week still feeling off. Then one day bam he was good to go. Since Saturday was Dr. Seuss' birthday we even made a few things for that.
We did some coloring and two projects for the Letter D
Sensory Box Fun!!!
He had to put the hat on his baby brother!

We went to the store and counted out 10 apples for his favorite book. 10 Apples up on Top.
He also got a new Seuss book.

On to "E" week!
